Increasing Parking Safety at People’s Trust Insurance Company with an M4 Smart-Sensor System

Posted in News

CHESHIRE, CT – February 24th, 2021 – Park Assist, recently merged with TKH Security, has been selected to install its camera-based M4 smart-sensor Parking Guidance System (PGS) at People’s Trust Insurance Company’s corporate campus. Located in Deerfield Beach, FL, People’s Trust Insurance Company is one of Florida’s top-selling homeowner insurance companies. In a fresh campus expansion, it built a brand new garage with over 500 spaces. The garage construction was completed in August of 2020 and is restricted to employees only.

Given the long-standing and strong local presence TKH Security (Park Assist) has in Florida and its proven ability to quickly deliver on projects, People’s Trust selected TKH Security (Park Assist) to elevate the employee parking experience.

Eager to enhance parking while improving its employee garage’s security, People’s Trust chose to add both the Park Alerts™ and Park Surveillance™ software modules to its PGS to protect its employees and ease any security concerns.

Upon entry, TKH Security’s Park Assist PGS is used to help quickly guide employees to available parking spaces using color-coded smart-sensors and digital wayfinding signage. This continually updated guidance information enables parkers to decide on the best location to park at any given moment.

While the M4 PGS helps increase parker satisfaction and enhances garage efficiency, the Park Alerts and Park Surveillance software add-ons improve garage security and control. The camera-based smart-sensors have a unique vantage point of the parking facility. With unobstructed views of the areas in and around the bays as well as the spaces in between vehicles, the Park Surveillance software module enables these sensors to capture and store streaming video of any motion in the garage, protecting against theft, vandalism, unwelcome intrusions, and other criminal activities. Additionally, the Park Alerts software extension allows parking management to set automated rules and alerts that help staff enforce policies and remain vigilant about parking abuse, unwanted activity, and policy violations within the garage.

“People’s Trust Insurance Company was a special project for our team. Despite ongoing COVID-19 challenges, People’s Trust truly believed TKH Security (formerly Park Assist) could deliver a state-of-the-art camera-based system and improve peace of mind for all employees and staff. Ownership was particularly looking forward to utilizing our Park Surveillance feature to enhance security for its newest asset. We are delighted to be a part of this exciting new project and look forward to future expansions on campus.” – said Thomas Alexander, National Channel Manager.

Site work began in October and is slated for completion by the end of February.

This is the first corporate campus project TKH Security (Park Assist) has been awarded in Florida, but its 10th installation throughout the state.
