Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport Chooses Park Assist’s M4 Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System

Posted in News

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – May 9, 2017 – Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP), located near Greer, South Carolina. This airport serves as an international airport with one terminal and over 2 million passengers traveling through each year. Because of their commitment to operating premier airport facility, the management team at GSP decided to invest in a leading PGS Solution to further elevate their customer service experience. Park Assist’s M4 smart-sensor camera-based technology was selected to provide a set of features to provide stress-free parking and increased operational efficiencies.

The M4 smart-sensor system uses License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology as well as directional signage to help guide drivers to the nearest available space. Upon entry to the facility, airport branded signs will communicate clearly and show visitors where to turn. Park Assist’s signage is configured to display real-time parking availability for 1,900 spaces in two garages.

GSP visitors will now have parking guidance throughout both garages, and will be able to locate their car effortlessly.  With Park Assist’s Find Your Car™ feature via the airport’s mobile app, all a parker has to do is enter his/her license plate number and the cars location will appear. Once the system is fully installed, a complete integration will take place along with the other technology currently in the facility.  This will ensure a seamless exchange of data between all parking systems and software.

“We are very excited to announce that Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport is the latest leading airport to utilize our award-winning, patented camera-based PGS to offer a world class parking experience. In addition, by integrating several of our API driven tools the Airport will be able to create more efficiencies and enhance operations.” said Gary Neff, CEO at Park Assist.
